Is this the moment for us to change the arts and culture narrative?
And if so, how would we change that narrative from nice to have to need to have?
“What would happen,” asks Andrew Recinos, “if we began elevating the well-being benefits of arts and culture in our programming, messaging, marketing, fundraising? If we added a well-being arc to our social value would it also increase our economic value? What would happen if cultural organizations were so bold as to put well-being right in our missions?”
In this talk, delivered at the Tessitura Learning & Community Conference in Orlando, Fla. in August 2023, Andrew explores these questions. He also highlights several arts and culture organizations that are already creating their own paths toward well-being.
