Goldstar, the ticket-seller that gets people out to live entertainment more often, announced today that it’s officially a preferred provider of The Tessitura Network, the global leader in technology for arts organizations.
The partnership provides integration of Tessitura Software with Goldstar’s own ticketing system, allowing Tessitura-powered organizations to tap directly into the Goldstar channel to sell their inventory, garner new audiences, and boost overall revenue.
New audiences
The Goldstar channel has more than seven million members looking to discover local live entertainment — theater, concerts, comedy, sports, and more. And they’re mostly new audiences for the venues selling on Goldstar. According to a March 2016 survey, nearly 80% of Goldstar buyers said they found out about the event for the first time when they discovered it on the Goldstar site or app.
“The number one reason people don’t attend an event is awareness,” says Goldstar CEO Jim McCarthy. “Too often people simply don’t know what’s happening right where they live. We’re the first place members come to find something fun to do. And with this integration, we make it that much easier to connect venues with the audiences — and the added revenue — they’re seeking.”
4,000 venue partners
Goldstar currently works with 4,000 venue partners across the country. Some 200 of Tessitura’s 500+ network users are already partnered with Goldstar. Now, those partners will be able to easily manage their inventory in real time using the integration between Tessitura and Goldstar.
“We are delighted to welcome Goldstar into the Tessitura Network Community,” says Jack Rubin, President of Tessitura Network. “We are dedicated to providing our users with the essential tools that help them manage their businesses and drive revenue across the organization through our built in ticketing, fundraising, membership, and marketing capabilities. Our users will now have the ability to offer real-time yield management solutions to drive revenue further through the integration with Goldstar.”

Among the first venues to benefit from this integration is Lyric Opera of Chicago. "We've worked with both Goldstar and Tessitura for a very long time. Both are essential tools for filling our houses and maximizing revenue," says Lisa Middleton, Director of Marketing at the Lyric. "We're excited about this integration because we'll be able to leverage each organization's strengths in one place and instantly."

About Tessitura Network
Tessitura was built from the ground up to specifically help arts and cultural organizations be successful. The functionality is equally strong for ticketing/admissions, memberships, fundraising, reporting/ analysis, and marketing; at its core is a powerful constituent management system designed for Customer Relationship Management. The business model is designed to benefit users – not to pay off investors, shareholders, or venture capitalists. Tessitura Network has not just promised new functionality; Tessitura has delivered new releases every year of operations and priorities are informed by users. Critically, unlike competition in this sector that promises integration between systems, Tessitura is one fully and seamlessly unified database for full enterprise operations.
After fifteen years of operations, Tessitura continues to expand rapidly serving theatres, museums, dance companies, performing arts centers, attractions, operas, festivals, symphony orchestras, galleries, and more. 2015 saw the largest growth ever with licence holders operating in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. The hosted deployment model of Tessitura enables quick deployment via the internet. The popular Tessitura Express Web service enables licence holders to operate flexibly and to maximize online revenue. Organizations of all sizes are empowered to use Tessitura in a way that best suits their needs – either “out of the box” or as a platform for innovation. Tessitura is proud to be a member owned and governed non-profit with a self-sufficient business model.
